COHOES Barbara M. Gaudette, 90, passed away peacefully Thursday December 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waterford she was the daughter of the late Earl and Clara Marble Hallett. She was a 1948 graduate of Lansingburgh High School.
Barbara had been employed for 22 years in the cafeteria at Cohoes High School and retired in 1990. Prior to that she was employed at the former Behr Manning Co. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Cohoes and prior to that a communicant and active member in the former St. Patrick’s Parish in Cohoes. Barbara was a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks and East Side Senior Citizens in Troy. She enjoyed bocce, and bingo and going on trips with the seniors. She was an avid NY Yankees fan.
Barbara was the widow of the late Ernest J. Gaudette and devoted mother of Michael E. Gaudette (Kathy) and Susan L. Russell (Dale) of Cohoes, David J. Gaudette (Angela) of Mechanicville and Mary Beth Keegan (Jeffrey) of Pleasantdale. She is the sister of Janet Sanders of North Troy, the late John and George Hallett. She was the proud grandmother of Eric (Annamaria), Laura (Anthony), Lauren (Patrick), Dale, Timothy (Miranda) and Julie (Lance) and 7 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at noon at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10 am – noon, prior to the funeral service.
As per pandemic regulations, masks are required, social distancing practiced and occupancy limitations observed.
