Obituary for Barbara Lee Babson
WATERFORD Barbara Lee Babson, 37, of Broad St passed away Thursday April 8, 2021 at her home. Born in Niskayuna she is the daughter of David E Babson of Loudonville and Rosemary White Arotin of Waterford and is the step daughter of Kim Babson and Joseph Arotin. She was educated at St. Mary’s School in Waterford and was a 2002 graduate of Waterford Halfmoon High School.
Barbara had been a technician at Albany Medical Center for several years. She was a CNA at both Albany Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy and was a certified EMT. She was a former firefighter with the Halfmoon Waterford Fire Department.
Barbara is the loving mother of Elizabeth Rose Babson and granddaughter of Barbara R. Babson of Massachusetts, the late Paul Babson and the late Ervin and Rose Patregnani White. Also surviving is her best friend John Simcoe as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit with her family at the funeral home on Thursday from noon to 2 pm prior to the service.
As per pandemic regulation, masks are required and social distancing and occupancy limitations observed.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Suicide Prevention Center, 150 Broadway #301, Menands, NY 12204 or the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Rd., Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
