Obituary for Azemma R. Caradori (DiTommaso)

WATERFORD Azemma (Zem) DiTommaso Caradori passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15th at the age of 96.

Zemma was born on February 18th, 1927 to Luigi DiTommaso and Christina Marchini in Albany, N.Y. and she grew up on Front Street in Waterford. She is preceded by her brother Eugene and her extended family Philip Casolo.

She is also preceded by her husband of 60 years, Mac. Together, they opened their pizza restaurant, Caradori’s Tavern, in Cohoes N.Y. and had two sons, Dan (Claudia) and Paul (Paula). Zemma, an avid Yankees fan, always valued family and she enjoyed spending time with them on Wednesday evenings for pasta dinners.

Her Sunday nights were regularly filled with coffee and conversation with those she loved including her extended family JoAnn and Ben Kozloski, and her grandchildren Kyle (Sarah), Christopher (Dayna), and Casey (Eric). More recently, she enjoyed visits with her great-grandchildren Giana, Parker, and Adeline.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 12:30 p.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford and at 1 p.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
