Obituary for Anna Daniels (Holupko)
Troy – Anna (Holupko) Daniels passed peacefully from this life at the age of 104 on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
Born in the Hamlet of Maplewood on April 27 th 1918, Anna was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Pazzo) Holupko. She was a resident of the Kane Apartments in Lansingburgh for many years before moving to the Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rensselaer in 2017. Anna was educated in Maplewood and Troy Schools and was a self- employed cosmetologist. The majority of Anna’s life was dedicated to her family and her home.
She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh. Anna was the beloved wife of the late Peter Vincent Daniels. They were married on September 15, 1940 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Watervliet and had shared nearly 60 years of marriage at the time of Peter’s passing on May 21, 2000. In addition to her parents and her husband, Anna was preceded in death by her sons, Robert A. and Peter V. Daniels; her grandson, Robert Daniels, Jr. and her siblings; Elizabeth Garrity, Mary Gardner, Dorothy Comi, John and George Holupko. She is survived by her son, Thomas M. Daniels and his wife Cynthia as well as four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit with Anna’s family on Thursday morning from 10 am until 11 am at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad Street in Waterford. A prayer service by the Reverend Edward Kacerguis will conclude the visitation at 11 am.
A private interment, to be attended by Anna’s immediate family, will follow the service in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Waterford.
