Obituary for Andrew F. Slivienski

LATHAM Andrew F. Slivienski Sr., 85, of Johnson Rd. passed away Wednesday July 6, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born and educated in Cohoes he was the son of the late Frank and Victoria Rice Slivienski.

A well-known professional bowler, Andy bowled in tournaments all over the country in the late 1950’s and 1960’s. He had owned and operated Town and Country Bowling Lanes in Guilderland for a number of years. He had also installed pools for several years. He later worked for D. A. Bennett Co. as a sales representative from which he retired 15 years ago.

Andy was predeceased by his wife Marilyn O’Malley Slivienski who died in 2018. He is survived by his sons, Andrew F. Slivienski Jr. of West Sand Lake, Thomas E. Slivienski Sr. of Amsterdam and Michael D. Slivienski of Cropseyville. He is predeceased by his siblings, Edward Slivienski and Helen Gierka. He is the proud grandfather of Amanda Warn, Jessica Moose, Anya Slivienski, Kyle Minich and Thomas Slivienski Jr. and great grandfather of Joey Warn. He is the uncle of Kelly and McKylie Ressler, Robert Fonda Jr., Jordan Fonda and Denise Pearse.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside committal service with military honors to be held on Tuesday July 19, 2022 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.
