WATERFORD Mary Deet, 68, of Saratoga Ave. died Thursday September 27, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Germany she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen Dusan Pelech. She came to this country as an infant in 1951and her family settled in Watervliet. She later moved to Waterford in 1972.

Mary was employed by Verizon for 17 years and then joined her husband in the video and real estate business. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as hosting family parties. She also enjoyed going to The Racino.

She is the devoted wife of Edward J. Deet Jr. and loving mother of April Anne Russell (Shannon) of Greenwich, CT and Matthew Deet (Maria) of Clifton Park. She is the sister of Joseph Pelech (Antonia) of Burnt Hills and Peter Pelech (Karen) of Watervliet. 5 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad ST., Waterford. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 pm.
